Opening Doors offers hospitality and opportunity to
women alone or with children, who are in need of
emergency or transitional housing and related
support services. Transitional housing for up to two
years is offered at Maria House and emergency
housing for up to 30 days is offered at Teresa
Shelter. Through its programs, women will develop
the skills and self-esteem they need to make it on
their own and break the cycle of homelessness.

SASC provides assessment and counseling services for
individuals and families experiencing alcohol and
drug problems; evaluations and classes for those
arrested for DWI; and counseling on issues related
to problem gambling. Its High-risk Youth Program
provides on-site counseling services for adolescents
in many of the high schools and junior high schools
in Dubuque and Delaware counties.
